Cape Gold

We are thrilled to feature and sell the exceptional products of Jen Gray, the owner of Cape Gold, in our shop. A dedicated beekeeper based in Cape Elizabeth, Jen has been nurturing honey bee colonies since 2015. Her passion for beekeeping began as a Cub Scout fundraising effort, leading to the creation of her first product—a beeswax wrap made from old cloth, serving as a sustainable alternative to plastic wrap.

Jen's commitment to natural, simple recipes is evident in every product she creates. Each item starts with bees from her backyard colonies, where she collects honey, wax, and propolis. This labor of love results in a range of small-batch, all-natural products, including soaps, lotions, and balms. Many of these are infused with locally sourced natural ingredients, some grown within a few miles of her home, reflecting her deep connection to the local environment.

At our shop, you can find a selection of Cape Gold's offerings, each crafted with care and a dedication to quality. By choosing these products, you're not only indulging in natural, handcrafted goods but also supporting a local artisan who is passionate about sustainability and community.

We invite you to explore Cape Gold's honey, soaps, lotions, and balms during your next visit to our shop. Experience the unique blend of natural ingredients and artisanal craftsmanship that makes Jen Gray's products truly special.

David Connor, Artist

We’re thrilled to announce our new Featured Artist Series at fox + doe! To kick things off, we’re proud to showcase the incredible work of David Connor, a local artist whose stunning linocut block prints are now available in the shop.

We currently have 8 framed prints for sale, each celebrating the beauty of Maine and the places David holds dear. David grew up right here in Cape Elizabeth, and after moving back to his childhood home in 2003, he raised his own two kids on the same street where his story began. How special is that?

When he’s not creating art, David teaches art and fabrication (shop) at Baxter Academy, a local charter high school. His passion for creativity and community is evident in everything he does.

Stop by to check out his work and take home a piece of local artistry! And don’t forget to follow him on Instagram at @davidconnorlinocuts to see more of his incredible prints.
